Dr. John O'DonnellJohn O’Donnell, Ph.D., M.A., is Vice President of Global Health Outcomes & Database Research at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He has held a number of research positions in the pharmaceutical industry, academia and in US State and Federal government, including Investigator at the National Center of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, a collaborative effort of Duke University Medical Center and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. O’Donnell holds a Ph.D. degree in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Arts degree in public policy from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, University at Albany. He has over fifteen years of research experience in health services research, and has particular expertise in observational data analysis, econometric methods, and health policy. He is Senior Adjunct Fellow at Duke University Medical Center’s Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development. Dr. O’Donnell has published in the areas of health services and outcomes research, with particular focus on research methodology, pharmaceuticals, geriatrics, and rehabilitation.
