High launch angle allows for stronger lofts so golfers can generate greater distance without sacrificing control.
ping rapture V2 driver and irons, which one will you like better?
Optimized in the
PING Rapture V2 Driver to create a high launching, lower spinning driver that delivers the performance expectedfrom a multi-metal design. With 10.5 degrees of loft. This club is right-handed and in good condition and shows moderate signs of use on the face and bottom. The thin face is precisely machined and plasma-welded to deliverhigher ball speeds for greater distance. It features a regular flex Diamana 63 gram graphite shaft with Ping grip.
These
Ping Rapture V2 irons are verry forgiving but you still have control over the clubs to move ur shot i only played 2 rounds since i have been fitted but thies clubs didnt make me think twice about retireing the old bubble 2's. A dense tungsten sole weight positions the center of gravity low and away from the face to optimize the launch conditions. An innovation made possible by the lightweight titanium face that frees weight for where it’s needed most—low and on the perimeter.
I was able to test the V2 with the stock
Anser Forged Irons shaft. Using a Bushnell Medalist rangefinder, I could closely approximate my distances. Overall, using a Bridgestone B-330S ball for control, I found the V2 to be about 5-8 yards longer on similarly struck drives up against
Ping G20 Driver. The loft on both drivers was 10.5 degrees and the flex was stiff on both.
