An online learning resource for public health practitioners sponsored by Britain’s Department of Health (DH). HealthKnowledge maintains a glossary of concepts and terms related to public health research, including research terms, and a "jargon buster" to facilitate understanding of acronyms and commonly used terms in the health care delivery system.

Project Guidance Online for those Learning at a Distance (GOLD) is a program run by the Royal College of Nursing, to improve distance education in nursing. The research methods glossary covers a variety of research topics.

The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of Connecticut
Modules on appropriate interpretation and use of polling results. Includes discussion of sample selection and survey error as well as a glossary of polling terms. Sample assignments are available for teaching purposes.
